PROFILE

Mohandas Kalipurayath Associates, Architects, Planners and Interior Designers were established at Calicut, India in the year 1987. In a span of two decades this firm has been involved in multifaceted design projects, some of which are shown elsewhere in this portfolio. The firm has service offices in Ernakulam and Dubai.

Ar.Mohandas Kalipurayath, an Alumni of MIT graduated with distinction and record marks from his University. He was awarded the All India Design Trophy twice in succession in 1983 at New Delhi and in 1984 at Trivandrum. He was the first Keralite All India President of the National association of students of architecture. He has served as the only   Keralite Jr.Vice President of the Indian Institute of Architects, and also as Chairman of its Kerala chapter. He is an assessor of the council of architecture (In corporated under Act 20 of1972 of Parliament of India) and is a visiting faculty to many premier architectural institutions. He is a consultant to various local bodies and agencies of Government of Kerala and to public sector undertaking of Government of India. He is a member of the institute of Indian Interior Designers and is currently a member of Indian Institute of Architects National Council. He has served on the central government committee on introducing seismic architecture as a syllabus in under gradual programs B.Arch all over India. He has presented papers at many national and International conferences including the world Sustainable Building Conference (SB 05) at Tokyo, Japan.
